The hand basket is a depiction of the transportation method for our collective trip to the nether regions.  This article will be confined to three areas:   education, the economy and politics.

The travesty that is our public education system has been visited by TLC in previous articles.  Recently, an article by Renee Nal exposed undisguisable educational indoctrination. This time the culprit is “sunshine standards,” established in Florida as the result of the public’s appropriate denunciation of Common Core.  For example, according to “sunshine standards” the Constitutional Convention was to “discuss how to make the national government stronger.”  Consider the distortion of a James Madison quote from the Federalist Papers.  The “sunshine standards” version is:

“If men were angels, no government would be necessary … You must first enable the government to control the governed...”

The actual quote is:

“If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary.  In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this:  you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself.”  (Emphases mine)

Madison was not the only Founding Father to be defamed.  Here is what “sunshine standards” has done to the words of Benjamin Franklin:

I agree to this Constitution, because I think a general government is necessary for us . . . I hope . . . we shall act heartily and unanimously in recommending this constitution . . .

Conveniently ignored is the rest of Franklin’s statement:

. . . and believe farther that this is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in Despotism, as other forms have done before it, when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic Government, being incapable of any other.

Of course Franklin voted for the implementation of the Constitution, but his fears for the future are unmistakable.  Although Franklin’s “despotic Government” is forming many decades later than he probably imagined; clearly that government is near.

An accurate summation of the view our Founders had of national government can be found in this Madison quote from the Federalist Papers:

The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined.  Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite.

My goodness, what have we the people allowed to happen?  Can you imagine assessments more foreign to the truth?  And we thought Common Core was bad.  Incidentally, the Constitution does not pair the federal government and education.   In fact, the Constitution has nothing to do with public education, which was purposely excluded from that document by our Founders.   Education, per se, is simply not national business.   Perhaps the ultimate solution, then, is to eliminate the United States Department of Education in its entirety.  Relatively speaking, America’s children received an education infinitely superior to the education they receive today from the 1800’s “school ma’rm” in the village one-room school. The emphasis on indoctrination at the expense of the truth and knowledge must stop!

Lest we be accused of being biased (perish the thought!) it is important to look at the economy through the lens of the shrinkage of the middle class. Just after the turn of the 20th century, there was a period in our economic history known as “trust-busting,” instigated by President Theodore Roosevelt using the Sherman Anti-Trust Act.  The trust-busting rhetoric then is very similar to what we hear today:  an extremely small number of people hold almost all the wealth.  Virtual monopolies held by J. Pierpont Morgan (railroads, securities), John D. Rockefeller (oil), James B. Dukes (tobacco) and others were targeted.   Roosevelt’s “Progressive Movement” had three structural goals:

 The desire to remove corruption and undue influence from government through the taming of bosses and political machines

 The effort to include more people more directly in the political process

 The conviction that government must play a role to solve social problems and establish fairness in economic matters.

The first two, at least, were necessary and “economic fairness” is commendable.  The results of the trust-busting era have been generally considered to be favorable to the strength and longevity of this country.  It is not proper conservatism to point out that the “ultra-rich” among us are oligarchs, but that is the case.  Their incomes are derived more from financial investment than entrepreneurship.  Our system of taxation should be revisited with that in mind in addition to concepts such as fairness and a “flat tax.”  Also, a massive joint government/private sector effort should be promptly implemented to update the education and skills of “Joe Citizen” to match the unbelievable changes that have occurred globally in the areas of commerce, business and communications.  Of course that would require a condition that is virtually absent, especially among our public office holders:  visionary leadership not characterized by dishonesty, greed, corruption or incompetence.

This brings us to the bottomless cesspool that is our political culture in America.  Many of us have decried the fawning media as it refuses to be professional while reporting governmental activities to the citizenry.  The literal incestuous relationship that exists between the press and Washington helps to explain this phenomenon.  An internet blogger known as “shavager” has pointed out the following “relative” situations, that TLC has verified:

Ben Rhodes, National Security Advisor                David Rhodes, Pres. of CBS (brother)

Jay Carney, Presidential Spokesperson               Claire Shipman, reporter, ABC (wife)

Tom Nides, former Deputy Secretary of State      Virginia Moseley, CNN (wife)

Elizabeth Sherwood, Presidential Advisor  Ben Sherwood, President, ABC (brother)

Sasha Johnson, Chief of Staff, FAA            Mark Murray, NBC Pol. Editor (husband)

SNL’s Church Lady would say, “Isn’t that special?”   It could be that this President based his selection of administrative personnel largely on with whom they slept or with whom they had dinner on Sundays.  We must admit that, whatever the process, it has been hugely successful - if the propagation of lies is the measure.

Although things are bad corrective action can occur.  Problems can be addressed if Congress becomes a body with the ability and the courage to repeatedly override Obama vetoes.  This certainly is possible; the truth of this presidency is becoming apparent to all.

Once there was a television show entitled “Rawhide.”  The plots of this series were played against the backdrop of a perpetual cattle drive.  Clint Eastwood got his “break” on this show as he played Rowdy Yates, who was the drover “ramrod” under the tutelage of Gil Favor, the trail boss.  The title of “Rawhide’s” theme song is the title of this article.  Maybe phrases from this song can be applied to political occurrences in America.

“Keep movin,’ movin,’ movin,’ though they’re disapproving’.”  As America “rolls,” it has become quite clear that our country is being run by an inept socialist who presides over an inept Congress.   Maureen Dowd, in a recent column, commented as follows on the release of Brad Pitt’s new movie, “World War Z” - “In the movie, Washington gets wiped out quickly, of course, because the politicians can’t even come to an agreement on survival.”   TLC loves it when a liberal says something that is correct.  The whole premise of TLC is to encourage debate based on the truth.  We now have debate based on money and political parties.  Paul Pierson was quoted in a TLC article posted in November, 2012: “Lawmakers are constantly cultivating lobbyists or other people who have a lot of money in order to get reelected.  This process just skews the democracy from one man/one vote to one dollar/one vote.”  A political plank promising to emphasize the issues over the money would be a winner.  Term limits, anyone?

“Ride 'em in, let 'em out, cut 'em out, ride 'em in, Rawhide.”  Right-thinking Americans ought to be viewing all incumbents with a jaundiced eye.  To our national “conservative” politicians we should be saying, “Your rhetoric be damned, you are accountable for your actions, or the lack of same!”   Then we should plow through their well-funded but faulty, scripted primary campaigns and vote for someone we can at least feel is worthy of a little risk.  There is no risk in voting for a “RINO.”  We absolutely know what we are going to get.   Remember from a previous TLC article a quote from the Reverend Kirbyjon Caldwell:  “If you keep on doing what you’ve already done, you’re going to keep on getting what you’ve already got.”  So let’s put forth maximum effort in the primaries to avoid having to vote for RINO’s.

“Wishin’ my gal was by my side.”  “My gal” in this instance is Sarah Palin, a great American.  Lately, TLC has been feeling somewhat prophetic.  In late 2012, TLC wrote, “The government is not too big to fail; it is too big to succeed!”  On March 18, 2013, Sarah Palin said, “Folks, this government isn't too big to fail; it's too big to succeed."  Regarding Muslims in the Middle East, in January, 2013, TLC wrote, “This barbaric behavior could continue for decades.  … the USA should end financial aid …, utilize our own vast energy resources and let those folks ‘eat their oil’ ….”   Sarah Palin recently said, “On U.S. military intervention in Syria’s civil war, “I say let Allah sort it out.”  In April of 2013, TLC posted an article concerning the media where CBS was depicted as declining from an organization represented by the logo above into an organization best illustrated by the logo below.
Sarah Palin on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends” on June 17, 2013 said this about CBS news anchor Scott Pelley: “He put the BS in CBS…”  It is gratifying to apparently have a reader of such stature.

Picture
Picture
However, Governor Palin’s recent favorable comments regarding the rise of a third party called “the Freedom Party,” in response to  GOP leadership failures, is troubling.  Palin said, “I love the name of that party: the Freedom Party.  And if the GOP continues to back away from the planks in our platform, from the principles that built this party of Lincoln and Reagan, then yeah.”   As has been repeatedly proven, a third party vote is a vote for the enemy.  Dave Jolly has written on this subject very well:  “The more factions that split off from the GOP, the weaker it becomes, which only serves to help strengthen the Democrats and their hold on the White House and Senate.  As much as I don’t like what the GOP has been doing of late, I’m just not too sure if splitting into more fringe parties is the best solution.  The way I look at it, the GOP minus Libertarians minus Freedom Party equals Democratic victory in 2016.”

TLC wishes the Governor would promote a united conservative front, not fragmentation.  Her kind of talk could also be damaging to conservatives during the elections of 2014.  Sarah Palin should run for the United States Senate.

“Don’t try to understand ‘em, just rope and throw and grab ‘em.  Soon we’ll be living high and wide.”   Intelligent handling of the immigration reform legislation is paramount.  David Brooks points out that “Americans of European descent are already a minority among 5-year olds.  If enacted, the immigration reform bill would [only] accelerate these trends.”   These trends are in place now and their continuance is inevitable.  As a practical matter, it is also clear that the eleven million Latino illegal immigrants in the country today are not going anywhere.  Ignoring these accurate projections and insisting on politically impossible outcomes appears to be the behavior of many conservatives today and such behavior needs to stop!  As has been expressed in a previous TLC article, “this dogmatic behavior cost us conservatives the last presidential election.”   TLC believes that the security of the border is essential, and that the assimilation of Latinos into the conservative camp is imperative.  So, the recommendation here is to get the best immigration deal possible and boast about the conservative outreach to our immigrant population.

Then the stage will be set.  If we are smart enough to allow it to happen, Obama’s incompetent, dishonest, deceptive and illegal behavior will provide a wonderful atmosphere enabling conservatives in 2014 to take over the Senate!   Then immigration, Obamacare, structural government reform, etc., could be addressed properly.  Wouldn’t you relish a scenario where progress toward restoring America was gained by continually overriding Obama’s vetoes?

Obama, we see right through you!
By Jim Lyde
Chief Operating Officer

ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED MARCH 17, 2013
Vaguely, we can remember the fresh political face who in 2008 spoke all those wonderful phrases.  From this wunderkind we heard that his presidency was going to be hallmarked by rule of law, respect for and obedience to the Constitution and “line by line” budget review.  A voice for the common person was ascending.  Above all else was this prodigy’s promise of complete transparency.  So, the American people elected him President of the United States.

The top priority from the outset was the creation of a national healthcare program that came to be known as Obamacare.  More than 70% of the people indicated they did not want it.  Undeterred, the President rammed it through a Congress controlled by his party, assuring us that the new program would not raise taxes on the middle class “one dime.”  He was right!   Obamacare has caused more than $6 billion in new taxes.  Jobs by the thousands have been eliminated as many businesses have resorted to downsizing and lay-offs to offset increased premiums.

Joining with the laws of 37 other states, in 2008 the people of California voted in favor of a proposition that defined marriage as being between one man and one woman.  Our Executive Branch has responded to the will of those people by filing an amicus curiae brief with the Supreme Court encouraging the overturning of that proposition.  Furthermore, our President has refused to uphold the Defense of Marriage Act that has a similar definition of marriage that is supposed to apply to the entire nation.

One cannot check a budget “line by line” if no budget is ever put forward.  The refusal to do so is the work of Democratic members of the Senate, pure and simple.  Similarly, our President has failed to produce a budget acceptable to even one member of his own party.  Hark!  The Senate is currently unveiling a budget, after only about 4 years of illegally failing to do so!  Of course it contains multiple times more taxing/spending than cuts.

This may be the only time in recorded history that a nation has deemed border security to be a debatable issue.  Again, the President ignored the majority of the people who want the border secured.  He also sued one state that tried doing it on its own.  Illegal immigrants are merely “undocumented.”  The promised adherence to the will of the “common man” has simply not happened.  The President has repeatedly demonstrated contempt for the concept of rule of law.   The Constitution, especially the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 10th Amendments, has often been distorted or ignored.

This brings us to transparency.  In this Administration, it has been entirely absent.  Many of his numerous fiascos, such as Fast and Furious and Benghazi, have demanded that he hide information to cover unlawful or incompetent behavior and/or to perpetrate political lies.  One would think that refusing to obey the Constitution, disrespecting the will of the people, repeatedly lying/distorting the facts and hiding information would cause a president to be impeached.  This one was re-elected.  Some voters supported Obama because they want a free ride.  Others are blind socialistic ideologues.  A third group believes he is sincerely trying to make the country better and Republicans are blocking his efforts.  Together, these folks made up a slim majority of the voting public.
Picture
Enlightenment, however is coming, thanks to the President’s behavior before and after the “sequester.”  His incessant “the sky is falling” rants opened many eyes.  The people understand that there is no way such a tiny budget cut (that is not a cut, but only a decrease in future expanded spending) could cause such havoc.  Of course, it did not.  Then Obama compounded his disingenuous stupidity by insulting the intelligence of most Americans when he canceled the White House tours, unnecessarily furloughed federal employees and performed other tantrum-like acts to make the sequester seem as bad as possible.   A report by daTagliare states that, “An email that was leaked by a Department of Agriculture field officer indicated that the Obama administration had given instructions to make the sequestration cuts hurt Americans as much as possible.”

Then Obama blamed Republicans.  So, many more people now understand that the President is not only dishonest and deceptive, not only wants to turn America into a government-dependent society, but is insensitive, arrogant and vindictive when things don’t go his way.

America’s future under Obama can be seen by looking at the political history of Detroit.  That city has been led by liberal Democrats since 1961. Obama’s strategies are damaging the country exactly like similar socialist strategies have bankrupted Detroit.

It’s time for the people to intervene.  The view here is that an intervention is imperative and should involve two strategies:

1.   The President’s exposure of himself (pun intended) provides a renewed opportunity to gain control of the Senate in 2014.  Hopefully that will be accomplished by conservatives.  We desperately need more senators like Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio et al. According to Politico, “‘deep-pocket conservatives’ are turning their backs on establishment Republican strategies, being keenly aware that it was establishment cheerleaders like Karl Rove who were blindsided by Mitt Romney’s stunning loss and losses in many key Senate and House races.”

2.   The President’s behavior definitely includes impeachable acts. Canada Free Press has kept track of Obama’s impeachable offenses (http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/26650).  This list has fifty (50) items, and does not include selling arms to Libya without Congressional consent, or anything related to Benghazi.  Removal from office can occur if the House of Representatives indicts and the Senate convicts the President of “high crimes and misdemeanors.”  Judging by observations of our present Congress that simply “ain’t gonna happen.”  Republicans in Congress, obsessed with the 2014 elections, are simply refusing to lead.  They have been steadfastly avoiding their duty and instead have been politically posturing in efforts to remain in power.  How can they expect to win future elections if they refuse to lead?  Our only alternative may be an impeachment process generated by the States on behalf of people who demand it.

Dwight Eisenhower wrote, “Every step we take toward making the State our Caretaker of our lives, by that much we move toward making the State our Master.”   Abraham Lincoln said, “To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men.”

Finally, this from Jim Delaney:

Crimes don’t make a difference unless there are people who can expose them for what they are.  Many of the things that we consider unacceptable behavior today had to be criminalized.  Democrats have criminalized many ordinary things, such as buying cough syrup without a photo ID or making a movie that offends Muslims, but they have decriminalized other things, such as funding and arming terrorists and endangering the survival of the free world. . . So, yes, folks, sorry to say, but the remedy is now squarely on our shoulders and on the shoulders of our respective States to resist. We can rely on nothing else, nor should we. Wishful thinking, benign neglect, blind faith, and prayers alone won’t turn the tide and save this tattered Republic. And with both our 1st and 2nd Amendment rights under relentlessly single-minded attack, now more than ever patriots need to be solidly united, fearless and determined.  Are the States up to it? Are we up to it? That remains to be seen.

HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MINDS?
By Jim Lyde
Chief Operating Officer
[First Published April 18, 2013]
Following are excerpts from Mark Twain’s short story “Captain Stormfield’s Visit to Heaven.”  In this classic, the deceased Stormfield, a sea captain, had deviated from his course to heaven by only slight degrees so that he could have racing competitions with various comets.
Picture
When he arrived in Heaven he encountered a gatekeeper who asked, "Did you come STRAIGHT HERE from your system?"  Stormfield answered, [No,] “But I only fell off just a bare point, and I went right back on my course again the minute the race was over."  The gatekeeper responded, "No matter - that divergence has made all this trouble. It has brought you to a gate that is billions of leagues from the right one.  If you had gone to your own gate they would have known all about your world at once and there would have been no delay. But we will try to accommodate you.”  So the gatekeeper sent an assistant to locate our Solar System.  After days of searching a map as big as Rhode Island the assistant located Earth, telling the gatekeeper,   "Oh, I know the one he means, now, sir.  It is on the map.  It is called the Wart."

There are those of us conservatives who act as if even the slightest deviation from our political beliefs might result in the dilemma encountered by Captain Stormfield.  If we hear a statement or position that is even one degree away from ours, we almost lose our self-control.  It’s as if we are proclaiming “listen up – everyone is wrong but me!”  This attitude reminds me of a cartoon in which two mothers are watching a parade.  One says to the other “Look Gladys, my son is the only one in the band who is in step!”  We already are hearing a raucous clamor of complaints about the behaviors of Senators Rubio, Paul, Cruz, Lee and others whom just the other day we were praising as the new and true leadership to deal with the past and current betrayals of the “Rinos.”

Folks, we need to be reminded of the nature of our heritage.  It was exactly this kind of rigid, unyielding behavior that our forefathers defeated to provide us with our freedom-loving society.  The Constitution itself was forged from bitter divisiveness and unsavory compromise.  TLC has encountered fellow conservatives who are so convinced that they are the only ones who can think that they refute input from others even when the others are agreeing with them!  The citizens of this country will not ever get everything they want every time; they never have; and they never should!

The view here is that this dogmatic behavior cost us conservatives the last presidential election.  Too many of us voted for third party candidates.  In the history of this nation there have been exactly ZERO successful third party presidential campaigns!  Too many of us, angry because Romney was not conservative enough, stayed home.  Boy, we really showed them, didn’t we?  Consider the words of Gary DeMar:

To all those who threw their votes to third party candidates, and to those who did not vote, when those of us who are fighting to protect the system hobble away, I hope you have enough of your mindset to keep it together because there is a whole host of us that are too bloody to walk another step. We could have held Mitt Romney's feet to the fire while we brought in our Tea Party candidates, protected the Supreme Court and the nation from a fifty years of aggressive evil influence of Obama Court nominations, rid ourselves of the redefinition of marriage and monstrous late-term abortion.
Whomever amongst us that is glad of this turn of events with the election for some 'high' principled idea, I can only say an entire nation, countless unborn and many who will be exposed to the judgments of death panels in the Obamacare will suffer from such thinking.

A colleague and I were on a business trip during which we found ourselves seated next to a woman who was on her very first flight.  Of course, we subjected her to a little kidding about the safety of the plane, etc.  As luck would have it, the plane hit a small air pocket, terrifying the inexperienced traveler.  She said to my colleague, “Joe, if that happens again, I will grab hold of you.”  To which he jokingly replied, “Lady, I’m scared.  We can talk trash when we get on the ground!”  There is an analogy here.  Our “airship of state” is under an ominous threat, the face of which is Barack Obama.  We must unify to neutralize that threat.  We can squabble about the fine points of immigration or abortion policy after we have prevented our airship from crashing into, uh, Greece, for example.

Then there is this from an editorial in the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungon:

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president."

We, the angry conservatives who stubbornly protested by staying home or by voting for third party candidates, became members, along with the takers, the socialists and the liberals, of that “vast confederacy of fools” that caused Barack Obama to be the President of the United States.  It is as simple as that.  We need to pull our heads out, lest we be collectively remembered as “the Wart.”

                                  FIRST PUBLISHED DECEMBER 17, 2012

How It Was (1954)

That is a Colored water fountain, Son. You can't drink there. Little Henry accepted that admonition from his mother, but not without a second thought. Born in 1945 in north central Texas, Little Henry knew that "Colored" water fountains and restrooms were indicators of the way things were.

Why was the 80 year old shoe shine "boy" called by his first name?

He noticed there were no "coloreds" in the café where he dined with his family. He wondered why, in a society that demanded respect for elders and fair play, the 80 year old shoe shine "boy" at the barber shop was called by his first name (Doug), even by children. Why was Doug called "N* Doug" outside his presence? Why were all coloreds usually called "N*s" except in polite company, where they were called coloreds or "Nigrahs?"

Three colored boys were allowed to join Little Henry's baseball team. He was surprised that he didn't "catch something" when he quenched his thirst from the lid of the big water jug after they did. Why then, were there colored water fountains?

Nigrahs are alright, as long as they know their place.

Little Henry knew nothing about the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision calling for the end of school segregation; it certainly had no effect on the all-white school he attended, or anything else in his world. He had heard hundreds of times that "Nigrahs are alright, as long as they know their place." Where was that "place?" From his family and their friends there was no animosity. The "understanding" was that coloreds were inferior and should not interact with white people.

Political Correctness was designed to end
               traditional references to Black Americans
.

This has been a tiny snapshot of the atmosphere from which evolved "political correctness." Little Henry was just one of millions beginning to realize the illogical nature of race relations in America. The productive work of Martin Luther King, Jr. and others failed to displace the traditional references to Black Americans. The concept of political correctness was designed to change that.

How It Is

Political correctness has gone far past that worthy goal. From a historical perspective, the changing of traditional references has been blindingly fast. We have gone from darkie, Negro, N*, nigrah, colored, Black, to African American. Beyond efforts to bring discredit to those who make disparaging references, PC has developed into a primer of admonishment to any negative reference to African Americans, then to females and Latinos. It seems that any publicly made disparaging remark must be subjected to the gauntlet of "insult inspection," regarding race and/or gender. If either exists, those who disagree with the premise of the remark label the spokesman (whoops, spokesperson) as a racist or a sexist. More recently there have been those who search for "code words" in statements with negative references that might be construed to refer to Blacks or any other minority. These exercises are virtually always generated by liberals. Now, Hillary Clinton has expressed a preference for Senator John Kerry (white male) to replace her as Secretary of State, rather than UN Ambassador Susan Rice (black female). Therefore, according to PC dictum, it is logical to conclude that Ms. Clinton is both a racist and a sexist! PC has further expanded to include rules to avoid "offending" people or organizations who do not believe in deity. For example, the Governor of Rhode Island insists on calling the state's Christmas tree a "Holiday Tree," so as not to offend atheists. Bill O'Reilly has pointed out that by doing so the Governor has offended about 95% of the American people. However, Christians and Jews are the only religious groups that may be maligned under the guidelines of PC.

Thomas Sowell has written "... episodes of unprovoked violence by young black gangs against white people chosen at random on beaches, in shopping malls, or in other public places have occurred in Philadelphia, New York, Denver, Chicago, Cleveland, Washington, Los Angeles, and other places across the country. Both the authorities and the media tend to try to sweep these episodes under the rug." The view here is that the entire reason for the "sweep" is political correctness.

Has PC blocked our ability to find solutions?

How Is It Going To Be?

Have problems arisen? You bet! What if  negative references to minorities or minority organizations are true? After all, it seems to be perfectly acceptable to denigrate other segments in our society; some say even at the expense of the truth. Perhaps we have gotten so caught up in the idea of avoiding insult that we have linguistically blocked our ability to find solutions. Have tiny portions of our society gained the ability to force changes on others, even if those others find them unacceptable, or even if the changes have historically been detrimental to societies? Undoubtedly! Has the quality of education in the United States for African Americans improved? No! Why not? In this country, a small of minority of the population gets arrested for a very disproportionate number of crimes committed. Why? Have Black community attitudes toward narcotics and traditional relationships heightened the wall that has to be climbed to achieve social equality and economic success? How can we address these or any similar perceptions or situations if PC forbids us to even state the problems?

                     THE RIGHT TO EXIST

                                          Chief Operating Officer

                              FIRST PUBLISHED JULY 7, 2014

Let’s assume a belligerent dog attacks, you provide the dog with a little space and he continues to attack.  He attacks your children from the bed of his puppies, and if you injure a puppy when you respond, the dog howls about your cruelty.  Suppose a neighbor suggests a solution that is agreeable to you but not to the dog?  What do you do?  Would it be appropriate to ask the dog to discontinue the attacks as a prerequisite to further discussion?  What about providing the dog with more space, closer to you, hoping that the dog with change his behavior?  Perhaps, after repeatedly trying unsuccessfully to reason with the dog you should kill the dog and take back your space.

Israel now and historically faces this situation with its Islamic neighbors.  The current aggressor is Hamas, a terrorist organization that is attacking from Gaza that was given to the Palestinians by Israel.   President Obama treats this latest conflict as being between adversaries who each have a valid agenda.   It most certainly is not.  The rightful “ownership” of the territory Israel now occupies is a moot issue.   Would it be appropriate to demand the resurrection of the Weimar Republic?  Considering the issue on a local level, what about the land of Canaan or the Hittite Empire?  The truth is that the geo-political landscape in the Middle East historically has been in constant transformation forever.  Diplomatically, common sense related to this situation is in very short supply.  How would the world react if Israel acted on the decision that Hamas/Palestine did not deserve to exist?

When analyzing Obama concerning the Middle East and elsewhere the tendency is to characterize him as being incompetent.   He does radiate the odor of incompetence but the belief here is that the smell is that of arrogance.  The incompetence characterization would be correct if Obama’s agenda involved objectives that are in accordance with American tradition. However, Obama has no such objectives.  He is fine with what appears to “right thinking” Americans to be cowardly folly regarding “negotiations” with Iran.  He has no objections to Iran having military nuclear capacity.  Likewise, he is OK with the strife between Ukraine and Russia.  This president has no qualms about the mess on our southern border, either.  In fact, he is the principal creator of the mess.  International turbulence is his preferred state of affairs.

Colonel Peters, who is a hero of mine, underestimates the President.  The depth of the negative reaction may be more than he anticipated, but otherwise all is well in Obama's eyes thus far.  The internal scandals and world situations fit nicely into his plan to reduce the economic power, political strength and exceptionalism of this nation.  The only appropriate response is impeachment.  Even if Speaker Boehner’s lawsuit against Obama achieves legal standing, it would not be resolved until years after Obama’s Constitutional term of office has expired. If Boehner should happen to "grow a set" and initiate impeachment proceedings the belief here is that Obama will try to declare martial law.  He will use the international turbulence previously mentioned and growing national “lawlessness” as excuses.  He may do so anyway if he sees a need to attempt to avoid the consequences of November's elections.

TLC has often opined that if one assumes Obama is a Muslim many things are better explained.   Obama is an avowed Christian, but his Christianity is that of Jeremiah Wright, who espouses what is known as Black Liberal Theology.  This “denomination” was founded by Marxist James Cone, and is at least as similar to Islam as it is to Christianity. Colonel Allen West is sharing an article he found by Thomas Lifson in the American Thinker.  Lifson lists many Obama quotes on Islam and Christianity and offers comments.  The first two presidential comments on Islam are:  #1 - “The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam.”  #2 - “The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer.”

Democrats are currently softening the jaded appearance of the Obama fundraising tour in the face of crises the world over by using the term “optics,” as in “the optics are bad, but Obama is great,” etc.  Let’s look at some “optics” related to Islamic symbolism and the President.

We begin with what could be called the “classic crescent.”  The crescent is a misnomer because it actually is the space between two circles and symbolizes Islamic domination of the world.

Just below
 is the insignia of
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.  Note that the crescent has entirely surrounded the smaller circle.  Does the white shape on the left remind you of Israel?

The logo of the
Islamic Palestine Block   leaves no room for doubt.  Here we have the earth resting on the Quran and encircled.  The methodology for the takeover is war, as illustrated by the automatic weapon.

Next let’s take a look at the icon for the Muslim American Society.  Once again we have global domination depicted, in this case with special attention to the Americas.

Finally, let’s look at the  modern symbol for the United States Missile Defense Agency, then compare it to the icon for the Obama presidential campaign.

How does this progression of symbols relate to your view regarding America’s continuing right to independently exist?  To quote Colonel West:
In my assessment, there is a very clear and
evident bias, and when combined with certain actions — as in Libya, Egypt, and towards Israel — well, you assess for yourself.  Be an American Thinker.  And then be a Guardian of the Republic.
